What is a Day On The Farm Really Like??
Experience fresh country air, beautiful countryside and explore working farms in Orange County!
- Visit six local farms
- Hands-on demonstrations
- Fun activities for all ages
- Follow your own schedule in your own car
What You Can Do In a Day On The Farm:
- See how cows are milked and how to get a calf ready for the County Fair.
- Take a hay ride and watching horses go through their special routines.
- Learn which flowers and shrubs will grow best in your garden and the best way to plant a planter.
- Drive through an apple orchard and learning which of the dozens of varieties growing in the Warwick Valley will make the best pie.
- Look into a 10-foot-deep trench to learn how this rich soil has been built up over thousands of years.
- Learn how to cook like a gourmet and enjoy local fruits and veggies with a master chef.
There will be discount coupons, and lots of information about how farms preserve and protect the land and how they contribute to the growing local economy.
Tickets: $25 for adults, $10 for ages 6-14 (under 6 is free).
